< > Effective - 28 Aug 1995, 2 histories, see footnote (history)*194.425. Until December 31, 2016 — Abandonment of a corpse without notifying authorities, penalty. — 1. A person commits the crime of abandonment of a corpse if that person abandons, disposes, deserts or leaves a corpse without properly reporting the location of the body to the proper law enforcement officials in that county.
2. Abandonment of a corpse is a class D felony.
