  195.248.  Until December 31, 2016 — Marketing of ephedrine, penalty. — 1.  It is unlawful for any person to market, sell, distribute, advertise or label any drug product containing ephedrine, its salts, optical isomers and salts of optical isomers, or pseudoephedrine, its salts, optical isomers and salts of optical isomers, for indication of stimulation, mental alertness, weight loss, appetite control, energy or other indications not approved pursuant to the pertinent federal over-the-counter drug Final Monograph or Tentative Final Monograph or approved new drug application.

  2.  A person who violates this section is guilty of a class D felony.
