< > Effective - 01 Jan 2017, 3 histories, see footnote (history)575.205. Tampering with electronic monitoring equipment — penalty. — 1. A person commits the offense of tampering with electronic monitoring equipment if he or she intentionally removes, alters, tampers with, damages, or destroys electronic monitoring equipment which a court or the board of probation and parole has required such person to wear.
2. This section does not apply to the owner of the equipment or an agent of the owner who is performing ordinary maintenance or repairs on the equipment.
3. The offense of tampering with electronic monitoring equipment is a class D felony.
