36.280. Transfer of employees — written notice to director. — An appointing authority may at any time assign a person employed in a position described under subsection 1 of section 36.030 or a person employed in a position in a department or agency of the executive branch of state government not exempted from section 36.031 from one position to another position in the same class in the appointing authority's division. A transfer of an employee from a position in one division to a position in the same class in another division may be made with the approval of the appointing authorities of both divisions. Upon making either such assignment the transferring appointing authority shall forthwith give written notice of the appointing authority's action to the director.
