306.161. State water patrol authorized to employ personnel. — The Missouri state water patrol is authorized to employ, within the limits of appropriations and notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, such personnel as may be necessary to properly perform the duties of the water patrol, and the water patrol shall prescribe the duties and responsibilities of such personnel.
