< > Effective - 01 Jan 1979, 2 histories, see footnote (history)*572.040. Until December 31, 2016 — Promoting gambling in the second degree. — 1. A person commits the crime of promoting gambling in the second degree if he knowingly advances or profits from unlawful gambling or lottery activity.
2. Promoting gambling in the second degree is a class A misdemeanor.
